Cycling for Parkinson’s Research

Tour De Force

Mike Rowland, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of O’Neal Industries, and Jeffrey Liesch, Chief Financial Officer of United Performance Metals recently participated in the Michael J. Fox Foundation Tour de Fox Series, a cycling event designed to raise money for Parkinson’s research and move closer to a cure.

Our riders, along with family and friends, formed Team Rowland, an inspiring group that peddled their way across the Silver Comet Trail and lush farmland of the Atlanta suburbs. When the event was complete, Team Rowland generated nearly $100,000 – all of which will go directly to high-impact programs and treatments for Parkinson’s disease.

The Tour de Fox Series celebrates the energy and spirit of the Parkinson’s community by bringing together thousands of passionate fundraisers and asking them to strap on their helmets, ready their pedals and push critical research forward.  With routes ranging from 10 to 75 miles, riders of all experience levels were encouraged to participate.  Through their dedication and unstoppable commitment in the 2019 Tour de Fox Series, Mike, Jeff and all their teammates helped to close the gap on a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
