MEET OUR 2022 SUMMER INTERNS

2022 Summer Interns

United Performance Metals has once again brought back its summer internship program to bring a new and young perspective to the specialty metals industry. These interns specialize in different departments across UPM and provide a helping hand for current employees. Get to know our six outstanding interns who work in our corporate headquarters located in Hamilton, Ohio. 

Mick Kelley is a senior at Elon University in North Carolina. Mick is currently studying political science but decided to come to UPM to break out of his comfort zone and try business. He is assisting the marketing department here at UPM. Mick is originally from Cleveland, Ohio but is enjoying his time here in Cincinnati. In his free time, Mick loves keeping up with his favorite sports team, the Cleveland Browns and enjoys watching the Harry Potter movie series. Welcome to UPM Mick!  

Patrick McIntyre is a senior at Denver University and is studying engineering. Patrick is working hard in our new additive manufacturing solutions center helping with the engineering.  Patrick spends his free time in the mountains when he is in Denver doing various physical activities, but his favorite thing to do is ski. He also mentions that his favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs. After college, he sees himself staying in Denver or Cincinnati, but wants to get his MBA as well. We are happy to have Patrick as part of our UPM team! 

Brady McCord is a sophomore at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona majoring in marketing but is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. Brady is assisting the marketing department here at UPM for the summer. During Brady’s free time, he likes to go out with his friends, play hockey, or golf. Brady’s favorite food is tacos or Mexican food in general. Welcome to UPM Brady!  

Lauren Clark is majoring in environment, economy, development, and sustainability at Ohio State University. Lauren plans to graduate in spring of 2024. This summer at UPM, Lauren is assisting the Quality Department with various tasks and projects. Lauren is from Cincinnati and grew up in Milford, Ohio. In Lauren’s free time, she likes to do yoga and spend time with her dogs. She also mentions that her favorite food is baklava. After Lauren graduates from college, she plans to land a job in the carbon credit market. Welcome to UPM Lauren! 

Josh Faller is working with the quality department this summer along with Lauren Clark. Josh goes to Elon University in North Carolina and is majoring in finance. Josh is originally from New Jersey and is enjoying his time in Cincinnati so far. Josh’s favorite food is lobster, and he also enjoys playing soccer. Josh is planning to graduate next year and plans to find employment somewhere in finance. Let us give Josh a warm welcome to UPM!  

Trey Schreiber is a rising junior at the University of Kentucky, majoring in marketing management. He is working in the sales department for UPM this summer in hopes of grasping an understanding of the business sector. In his free time, Trey enjoys golfing and following the Cincinnati Bengals. Trey hopes to work in sales upon his graduation. Welcome to UPM, Trey!
